Athletic History/State Championships

Chaminade is extremely proud of the rich tradition of athletic success that we have built over the years. Chaminade teams have won numerous conference, district and regional championships as well as 19 Missouri state championships.  The Basketball Team and the Volleyball Team brought home the most recent Missouri state championships in 2009.  Our 2001 Soccer team was named National Champions as they finished with a 31-1 record.  The chart on the right shows the different State Championships our students have won in the last 30 years.

Since 1999, five Chaminade players have been named Missouri Gatorade Players of the Year for their sports with Bradley Beal winning the 2011 Gatorade National Boys Basketball Player of the Year.  Numerous other players have won All-Conference, All-District, All-Region and All-State Honors.

Our student-athletes work very hard to earn college scholarships.  Over 20 student-athletes in our graduating Classes of 2011 and 2012 earned athletic scholarships for their outstanding performance with student-athletes attending universities such as Boston College, Florida, Mizzou and many others.

With 500 high school students having the opportunity to play in 17 sports, many students are able to play two or even three different sports, and many top student-athletes can play at the varsity level as a freshman or sophomore.  With eleven sports for 280 middle school students, most students have the opportunity to play the sport they want.
