Regular Samples from Deer Creek
A key component to know if we have successfully restored our section of Deer Creek to a native Missouir habitat is to know what is already in the creek. Through regular water, soil, plant, and animal surveys, we can keep tabs on what is on the property. Chaminade students, armed with the latest in digital probes, take temperature, pH, water clairty, dissolved oxygen, stream flow, wind speed, and various other measurements at three different locations along the creek. This data will be accumulated and used to assess the changes that go on over the process of this project.
