  Deer Creek   Minimize

Chaminade College Preparatory School has a 56 acre campus located in Creve Coeur.  Our campus has two unique landscape features:  1)  It is among the highest points for miles around (which is why we have cell phone panels on our roof) and 2) we have a creek on our property (Deer Creek).  Approxamately 7-10 acres of our campus can be found in and around that creek.  Until recently, those acres were not only unusable, but in such a condition to be a liability to us.  Taking Water Samples in the CreekIn 2002, I started a project, The Deer Creek Restoration Project, to correct this problem.  On this web site you will find out what is so wrong with Deer Creek, what we have done so far, and what we still want to do.  You will also see what needs we have and who has been helping us.  If what you see on this site inspires you to help us or inspiries you to improve an area near you, then I have succeeded.  Thank you for visiting.
