What is AP Chemistry

 This is the first year of Advanced Placement Chemistry with Dr. Wright.  We will be delving deeper into all of the topics studied in honors chemistry and more.  In addition to digging deeper into selected area of organic, inorganic and theoretical chemistry we will also more actively perform more experiments investigating these areas of chemistry.  The Advanced Placement Program is part of a nation wide program that involves secondary schools, colleges and the College Board. More than 2,900 universities and colleges worldwide grant college credit, advanced placement or both to students successfully completing (grade of 3 or higher out of a possible 5 on the AP exam) an AP course. AP course are meant to offer college level curricula at the high school level. These courses are highly regulated as to content and are very demanding.
